What companies are like TaskUs?
The companies most like TaskUs are Concentrix, Teleperformance, Foundever, Alorica and TTEC on the enterprise side, plus a set of digital-native and trust-and-safety specialists competing for the same technology clients. TaskUs is the one on this list you can research from public filings, since it has traded on NASDAQ as TASK since 2021. Buyers who need a small program, US time zone coverage, or a published rate should also compare it against nearshore specialists such as Call Force Global. If the work is back-office processing rather than voice, our Genpact alternatives comparison covers that side.
This page is written for someone buying seats, not someone applying for a job at TaskUs. Every entry says who the provider is actually built for and what to ask before you sign. Where Call Force Global is the wrong answer, it says so.
Who is TaskUs, and why look for alternatives
TaskUs was founded in 2008 by Bryce Maddock and Jaspar Weir, is headquartered in New Braunfels, Texas, and went public on NASDAQ under the ticker TASK in June 2021. Its services are described as content moderation, customer experience, artificial intelligence, operations, and risk and response, per Wikipedia's TaskUs article.
On headcount, that same article gives two different numbers: 49,600 in its infobox and 47,000 across 13 locations in its operations section. We are quoting both rather than picking the flattering one. Its principal operations are in the Philippines.
Two things follow from that profile, and both are reasons buyers end up comparing.
- The delivery centre of gravity is offshore. Philippines-led delivery is a genuine strength for cost and for round-the-clock coverage. It is a different proposition from a team working your own business hours.
- The client base skews digital-native. TaskUs built its reputation with technology companies, marketplaces and platforms, particularly in trust and safety and content moderation. If your program is a traditional inbound customer service line, you are not the archetype it was built around.
The third reason is the ordinary one: program size. A company of roughly 47,000 people is not shaped around a fifteen seat pilot.
7 companies like TaskUs
1. Concentrix
Enterprise CX at global scale with a heavy technology and platform story alongside delivery.
Best fit: large programs that want the contact center and the surrounding stack from one vendor. Ask before you sign: what is bundled platform and what is billed separately.
2. Teleperformance
The largest of this group by headcount, built for multi-language, multi-site delivery at very high volume.
Best fit: enterprise programs spanning several regions and languages. Ask before you sign: which specific sites your work lands in, and the minimum by site rather than in total.
3. Foundever
Formed when Sitel Group and SYKES merged in March 2023. Broad industry coverage and a very large global footprint.
Best fit: large, multi-site programs across a wide industry spread. Ask before you sign: which legacy delivery network your program actually sits in. See our Foundever alternatives comparison for the fuller picture.
4. Alorica
Large-scale customer care with a long-established footprint and a broad vertical spread.
Best fit: high-volume consumer programs. Ask before you sign: attrition and tenure on your assigned team, not the company average.
5. TTEC
Enterprise CX with a consulting and design arm in front of the delivery arm.
Best fit: programs where the operating model needs redesigning, not just staffing. Ask before you sign: whether you can buy delivery without the consulting engagement.
6. Trust and safety specialists
A distinct category rather than a smaller BPO. Content moderation and trust and safety carry requirements ordinary customer service does not: wellness programs for reviewers, policy calibration, and escalation paths that hold up under scrutiny.
Best fit: platforms and marketplaces with a moderation workload. Ask before you sign: what the reviewer wellness program actually consists of and how policy calibration is measured. If this is your requirement, Call Force Global is not a candidate. We do not run content moderation.
7. Call Force Global
Nearshore delivery from the Caribbean and Colombia in US Eastern and Central hours. Published rate of $12 to $18 per agent hour, all-in, inside the range documented in our Caribbean nearshore wage index. Month to month, no setup fee, standard launch in two to three weeks, and an AI quality assurance model that scores every call and routes flagged calls to a human reviewer.
Best fit: voice and support programs roughly between ten and fifty seats that need US-hours coverage and a visible rate. Where we are the wrong answer: see the section below.
Comparison at a glance
| Provider | Delivery centre of gravity | Typical program size | Rate visibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| TaskUs | Offshore, Philippines-led | Mid to large, digital-native | Quoted per contract |
| Concentrix | Global, multi-region | Large, technology-led | Quoted per contract |
| Teleperformance | Global, multi-region | Large, multi-language | Quoted per contract |
| Foundever | Global, multi-region | Large, multi-site | Quoted per contract |
| Alorica | Global | High-volume consumer | Quoted per contract |
| TTEC | Global | Large, consulting-led | Quoted per contract |
| Call Force Global | Nearshore, US hours | Roughly 10 to 50 seats | Published: $12 to $18 per agent hour all-in |
Delivery centre of gravity is the column most buyers underweight. Every provider here can staff a shift covering your hours. Whether your agents are working their own daytime while doing it is a different question, and it shows up in attrition rather than in the proposal.
How to choose between them
- What is the seat minimum? This eliminates half the list before a second call.
- Is this a moderation program or a service program? They are different businesses with different vendors. Do not shortlist across both.
- Where do the agents sit, and what local time do they work? Coverage and daytime are not the same thing.
- Is the rate published or quoted? A quoted rate means the business case waits on procurement.
- Who owns the recordings and the data? Get it in writing before it matters.
TaskUs vs Concentrix
Concentrix is substantially larger and sells across the full enterprise CX range. TaskUs is smaller, younger, and concentrated in digital-native clients and trust and safety work. If your program is a conventional customer service line at large volume, Concentrix is the closer match. If it is moderation, policy enforcement or a platform support workload, TaskUs is built nearer to it.
TaskUs vs a nearshore provider
This is the comparison most buyers on this page are actually running, and it comes down to three things rather than to quality. TaskUs delivers principally from the Philippines, which is roughly twelve hours from US Eastern; a nearshore team in the Caribbean or Colombia works your hours as their own. TaskUs is built for programs well above fifty seats; a nearshore specialist starts at ten. TaskUs quotes per contract; some nearshore providers publish a rate. None of those three is a quality judgement, and each of them decides the answer for a different buyer.
Where Call Force Global fits in this list
Call Force Global is not an alternative to TaskUs for the work TaskUs is known for. We do not run content moderation or trust and safety. If that is your requirement, everything else on this page is irrelevant and you should be talking to a specialist. That is a genuine recommendation, not a disclaimer.
Nor are we an alternative at scale. Programs above a few hundred seats across multiple regions belong with the enterprise providers here, and saying otherwise would waste your time and ours.
Where a nearshore specialist is the better call is narrower and specific: voice and support programs roughly between ten and fifty seats, needing US Eastern or Central hours from agents working their own daytime, live inside a month, with the hourly cost visible before the sales process starts. That is the shape of program the enterprise minimums exclude, and it is the one we are built for.
Frequently asked questions
Who are TaskUs's competitors?
TaskUs competes with the global enterprise CX providers, including Concentrix, Teleperformance, Foundever, Alorica and TTEC, and with trust and safety specialists for content moderation work. Buyers who need a small program, US time zone coverage or a published rate also compare it against nearshore providers such as Call Force Global.
Is TaskUs a public company?
Yes. TaskUs has traded on NASDAQ under the ticker TASK since its June 2021 IPO, per Wikipedia's TaskUs article. It is the one provider on this list whose financials you can read directly rather than infer, which is genuinely useful when you are assessing whether a vendor will still be there in three years.
Where does TaskUs deliver from?
Its principal operations are in the Philippines, across what Wikipedia's article describes as 13 locations. Headcount is given as 49,600 in that article's infobox and 47,000 in its operations section, and we quote both because the source itself is inconsistent. Philippines-led delivery is a strength for cost and overnight coverage, and a different proposition from a team working your own business hours.
What is a cheaper alternative to TaskUs?
TaskUs quotes per contract, so cost depends on the program. Nearshore specialists generally cost less per agent hour than US-based options and carry far smaller minimums. Call Force Global publishes a rate of $12 to $18 per agent hour all-in for Caribbean and Colombia delivery. Philippines-based delivery can be cheaper per hour still, so compare on cost per resolved contact rather than on the hourly figure alone.
Does Call Force Global do content moderation?
No. Content moderation and trust and safety carry requirements we do not staff for, including reviewer wellness programs and policy calibration. If that is your program, use a specialist. We run voice and support programs.
